CAMROSE, AB (June 24, 2023) – Head Coach & GM Derrick Martin is proud and excited to announce the signing of 2005 defencemen Matthew Gomez.
Gomez, 17, played last season with the St. Albert Raiders U18AAA Program.
Coach Martin had this to say about Gomez. “Matthew is a player that has been on our scouts radar for a long time. He played a couple games in a Kodiaks uniform last season and there is some familiarity with both the player and organization. He provides our back end with size and skill and he has the ability to make the right play under pressure while being reliable at both ends of the ice.
