Committment | Carson Ironside Commits to MacEwan University

CAMROSE, AB — The Camrose Kodiaks are proud to announce that goaltender Carson Ironside has committed to MacEwan University for the 2024-25 season. Ironside, 21, from St. Albert, Alberta, will be taking the next step in his hockey career, transitioning to USports competition with the Griffins.

Ironside joined the Camrose Kodiaks during the 2023-24 season and quickly established himself as a reliable presence between the pipes. In 13 regular-season games with the Kodiaks, Ironside posted an impressive 2.47 goals-against average and a .911 save percentage, earning a 7-3-2 record. His performances were pivotal in the Kodiaks’ successes throughout the season, providing the team with stability and confidence in goal.

Ironside’s journey includes notable stints with the Whitecourt Wolverines in the AJHL, where he maintained a solid performance, including a .921 save percentage during the 2020-21 season and a .918 save percentage in 2021-22. He also spent brief time with Albertus Magnus College in NCAA III which added to his experience, rounding out his development as a formidable goaltender.

The Camrose Kodiaks would like to extend their sincere thanks to Carson for his dedication, hard work, and the positive impact he made during his time with the organization. His commitment to excellence both on and off the ice has been exemplary, and he has set a high standard for those who will follow in his footsteps.
