Kodiaks Acquire Defenseman Damian Palmeri

The Camrose Kodiaks are thrilled to announce the acquisition of Damian Palmeri, a 6’1”, 190-pound defenseman from Delta, BC, in a trade with the Grande Prairie Storm for a player development fee.

Palmeri, 20, brings significant junior hockey experience, having spent three seasons in the WHL with the Vancouver Giants before joining the AJHL this season. Known for his physicality and strong defensive play, Damian has demonstrated his ability to perform under pressure. In 22 games with the Grande Prairie Storm, Palmeri recorded 5 assists and an impressive 113 penalty minutes, showcasing his fearless approach to the game.

Palmeri’s career highlights include key performances in the WHL, where he played in 51 games during the 2021-22 season, contributing 6 points and gaining valuable playoff experience. His physicality and leadership qualities are expected to be instrumental as the Kodiaks continue their push for success this season.
