Camrose, AB – The Camrose Kodiaks are pleased to announce the addition of 16-year-old defenseman Miles Copeland for the remainder of the 2024-25 season.
Copeland, a 2008-born blueliner from Calgary, AB, joins the Kodiaks after a strong campaign with the Calgary Royals U18 AAA in the AEHL U18. In 27 regular season games, he recorded four goals and 14 assists for 18 points, while adding three assists in four playoff games.
A smooth-skating, puck-moving defenseman, Copeland has shown strong offensive instincts and the ability to contribute in all situations. His addition will bolster the Kodiaks’ depth on the blue line as the team continues its push toward the postseason.
“We’re excited to have Miles join our group,” said Kodiaks General Manager Eric Kroetch. “He’s a talented young defenseman with great poise and vision on the ice. We look forward to seeing him develop in a Kodiaks uniform.”
Copeland will be eligible to make his AJHL debut immediately. Fans can catch him and the Kodiaks in action as they prepare for the final stretch of the regular season at home tonight versus the Fort McMurray Oil Barons at 7pm.
