Job Posting: Assistant Coach – Camrose Kodiaks (AJHL)
The Camrose Kodiaks of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Coach to join our organization for the upcoming season.
The Camrose Kodiaks are a proud, community owned and focused Junior A hockey team with a strong history of developing elite athletes on and off the ice. Our club is committed to excellence in player development, team culture, and community engagement. We are seeking someone who shares our vision and is excited to contribute to the continued success of our program.
Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with the Head Coach to establish and execute the team’s vision, values, and performance goals.

Support the planning and execution of practices, game-day preparation, and off-ice development with a focus on skill development, team structure, and individual player growth.

Assist with video review and analysis to support game planning and player feedback.

Help coordinate team logistics including travel, accommodations, meals, and equipment.

Contribute to the club’s community engagement initiatives, public appearances, and media responsibilities.

Maintain a professional and positive image while representing the Kodiaks both internally and externally.

Support the ongoing development of team culture, discipline, education, and accountability.
Requirements and Qualifications:

Previous coaching experience at the Junior A level or higher (AJHL, CHL, U Sport, NCAA, AHL, etc.) is an asset.

Minimum of NCCP Development 1; High Performance 1 certification preferred.

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel with the team.

Must be able to relocate to Camrose, Alberta for the duration of the season.

Must be legally permitted to travel within and outside of Canada.

Compensation:
