CAMROSE — The Camrose Kodiaks are excited to announce the signing of Lethbridge born goaltender Carter Capton, the club confirmed Sunday.
Capton, 19, from Lethbridge, Alberta, brings a wealth of experience and a stellar track record to the Kodiaks’ crease. Standing at 6’2″ and weighing 187 lbs, the left-catching netminder has proven himself as one of the most reliable goaltenders in the BCHL over the past few seasons.
In the 2023-24 season with the Cranbrook Bucks, Capton solidified his reputation as a top-tier goaltender, posting an impressive .916 save percentage and a 2.86 goals-against average over 20 regular-season games. His consistency didn’t stop there—Capton also delivered in the playoffs, showcasing his ability to perform under pressure with a .902 save percentage and 3 wins.
Capton’s success in the BCHL is a testament to his hard work and dedication. Over his tenure with the Bucks, he played a pivotal role in the team’s success, earning multiple shutouts and crucial wins, including a stellar performance in his debut season with a 1.000 save percentage.
Capton comes back to Alberta after playing for his respective Lethbridge Minor Hockey teams, before leaving for Yale Hockey Academy after an extremely impressive season with the Lethbridge Golden Hawks U15 AAA team
“We’re thrilled to have Carter join our team,” said the Kodiaks’ Hockey Operations Staff “His outstanding performances in the BCHL speak volumes about his talent and potential, and we believe he will be a cornerstone of our team’s success this season.”
The Camrose Kodiaks welcome Carter Capton to the team and look forward to seeing him in action as they get going for main camp August 19th.
