CAMROSE — The Camrose Kodiaks have signed defenceman Michael Gallant, the club announced Wednesday
Gallant, 17, brings a robust presence to the Kodiaks’ blue line, hailing from Langley, British Columbia, Canada.
In the 2023-24 season, Gallant began with the Estevan Bruins in the SJHL, contributing with 3 assists in 6 games, before transitioning to the Yorkton Maulers U18 AAA in the SMAAAHL, where he added 1 goal and 6 assists in 16 games.
When asked about the opportunity, Gallant said “I’m very excited to be a member of the Kodiaks and the community of Camrose. I will do my best for the organization on and off of the ice. I’m looking forward to getting further development to enhance my skills which will allow me an opportunity to be considered to a college scholarship.”
Standing at 5’10” and weighing 172 lbs, Gallant’s right-handed shot and defensive prowess will bolster the Kodiaks’ defensive core as they prepare for Main Camp starting August 19th.
