Camrose, AB – The Camrose Kodiaks are pleased to announce that Shawn Germain will continue with the organization in a key role focused on player development and supporting the team’s positive direction.
After serving as Interim Head Coach with professionalism, leadership, and passion, Shawn has been instrumental in guiding the team through an important period of growth and transition. His dedication both on and off the ice has left a lasting impact on the players, staff, and Kodiaks community.
“Being the Head Coach of the Camrose Kodiaks has been one of the greatest honours and experiences of my hockey journey,” said Germain. “I’m proud of the work we did and the strides we made last season. I’d like to thank Doug and Blair for their unwavering support and dedication. I learned so much from both of you. I also want to thank the players for their resilience and effort, day in and day out. I love you guys. I believe it’s in the best interest of both myself and the Kodiaks that I step down from the Head Coach position at this time. I’d like to thank Brad, Eric, and the entire Kodiaks organization for the opportunity to continue being part of this team and this amazing community. I’m proud and privileged to be a Kodiak.”
As Shawn balances the demands of full-time work and a busy family life, he has chosen to remain involved with the Kodiaks in a capacity that allows him to continue mentoring players and contributing to the team’s success, while maintaining personal and professional balance. We are excited that Shawn will remain an integral part of our organization as we move forward.
