Garrett Thom Called Up to Brandon

Camrose, AB – The Camrose Kodiaks are proud to share that forward Garrett Thom was recently called up to the WHL’s Brandon Wheat Kings. Thom’s call-up is a testament to the talent and determination he has showcased throughout the season. His impressive performance during the first half of the AJHL campaign, combined with a strong showing while representing Team Canada West at the World Junior A Challenge, made him a prime candidate for the opportunity to compete at the next level.

Thom has been a reliable and consistent presence in the Kodiaks’ lineup this season. In 28 games, he has contributed 23 points, demonstrating his offensive skills and ability to perform under pressure. Beyond his on-ice production, Thom’s leadership and work ethic have made him an invaluable asset to the team. His call-up to the Wheat Kings not only highlights his personal dedication but also reflects the Camrose Kodiaks’ ongoing commitment to developing players within the Western Canadian Development Model and preparing them for higher levels of competition.

During his brief time with Brandon, Thom appeared in three games, gaining valuable WHL experience and further honing his skills against top-tier competition. His time in the WHL will undoubtedly serve as a stepping stone in his hockey journey, providing insights and lessons that he will bring back to Camrose.
