The Camrose Kodiaks are dedicated to active community involvement, fostering good citizenship among players, and giving back to the community that supports us. Our staff and players participate in various events and initiatives aimed at making a positive impact:
- Community Events: We actively engage in events such as Relay for Life, Short Cut for the Cure, JDRF’s Walk to Cure Diabetes, Breast Cancer Awareness, Walk a Mile in Her Shoes, Dare Program, Charity Check Stop, and Farm Credit Canada’s “Drive Away Hunger” Campaign benefiting the Camrose Food Bank, among others.
- Youth Programs: The Kodiaks are committed to youth development through initiatives like the Read with the Kodiaks program in local schools. We also support minor hockey in Camrose and surrounding areas and partner with Tim Hortons for the Tim Bit Hockey Program, welcoming young players to Kodiaks games.
- Kodiaks Cubs Club: Our Cubs Club promotes literacy and physical activity among students outside school hours, including adding six new Little Free Libraries to the community.
