Camrose Kodiaks are excited to announce the signing of 2009 forward Kade Hughes for the upcoming 2026/27 season.
Kade was identified by Director of Player Development and assistant coach Shawn Germain at an Alberta Cup event and we have kept tabs on him ever since. Kade finished the season tied for 6th in U18AAA AEHL scoring with the U18 AAA Grande Peace Storm, and we look for him to continue bringing that offence at the junior level. Assistant GM Brock Lycan shared, “Kade plays a highly skilled game, has a non-stop motor, and isn’t one to shy away from getting under other players’ skin.”
Kade commented ” I’m really excited and grateful for the opportunity to join the Camrose Kodiaks. As I learned more about the organization, it became clear how committed the coaching staff is to developing players and helping them reach the next level. I felt it was the perfect place for me to continue growing my game, challenge myself, and be part of a team that is committed to winning. After spending time with the team already, I’m even more excited to get started and become a part of the Camrose community both on and off the ice.
