Camrose, AB – The Camrose Kodiaks are thrilled to announce the signing of Connor Knorr, a talented goaltender from Sherwood Park, Alberta, for the 2025/26 season. Knorr joins the Kodiaks after a strong season with the Sherwood Park Kings U18 AAA, where he was named to the AEHL U18AAA First Team All-Star. Connor posted the fewest goals-against average (GAA) in the AEHL U18AAA with an impressive 2.22 GAA and a .930 save percentage over 22 regular season games. In the playoffs, he maintained a solid 2.13 GAA and a .935 save percentage, helping his team to a competitive finish as they lost in the league finals to the Calgary Flames U18AAA.
Knorr began the season with the Bonnyville Pontiacs of the AJHL before being sent down, where he then was listed as an affiliate player with the Kodiaks, but did not see game action. However, his strong performance with the Kings earned him recognition as one of the top goaltenders in the U18 league.
“We are excited to officially welcome Connor to the Kodiaks for the 2025/26 season,” said General Manager Eric Kroetch. “Connor had an outstanding season in the AEHL U18AAA, and we believe his talent and dedication will make him a great asset to our goaltending group. His ability to stay composed and make key saves under pressure will be invaluable to our team.”
Knorr’s performance with the Kings and his potential as an up-and-coming goaltender will be key as the Kodiaks look to strengthen their roster for the upcoming season. The team is eager to see how he will continue to grow and contribute to the Kodiaks’ success.
“We believe Connor has a bright future ahead,” Kroetch continued. “We’re excited to see him develop further and contribute to the team’s goals in the 2025/26 season.”
