CAMROSE — The Camrose Kodiaks have signed forward Tyson Murray, the club announced Wednesday.
Murray, 17, joins the Kodiaks with a promising offensive skill set, born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
In the 2023-24 season, Murray played with the Calgary Buffaloes U18 AAA in the AEHL U18 league, where he recorded 12 goals and 22 assists for 34 points in 35 regular-season games. In the playoffs Murray added 2 goals and 2 assists for 4 points in 9 playoff games. Additionally, Murray showcased his talent in the Telus Cup, contributing 4 goals and 3 assists for 7 points in 6 games. Murray brings championship experience to the Kodiaks as the Calgary Buffaloes U18AAA team won the AEHL U18 Championship.
Murray also made an appearance with the Okotoks Oilers in the AJHL last year as an affiliate player, gaining valuable experience at the junior level.
Standing at 5’11” and weighing 161 lbs, Murray’s right-handed shot and offensive abilities will strengthen the Kodiaks’ forward group as they prepare for Main Camp starting August 19th.
