Camrose, AB – The Camrose Kodiaks are proud to announce that forward and team captain Owen Lansing has committed to the University of Alberta – Augustana, where he will continue his hockey career with the Vikings in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC).

A Camrose native, Lansing has been a key part of the Kodiaks organization, showcasing his relentless work ethic, leadership, and dedication to the game. After beginning his Junior A career with the Whitecourt Wolverines in 2021-22, he made his return to his hometown club during the 2022-23 season and quickly became a fixture in the lineup. Over three seasons with the Kodiaks, Lansing has played in 151 regular-season games, recording 38 points (13 goals, 25 assists) while bringing intensity and commitment to every shift.

Beyond the stats, Lansing’s impact on the Kodiaks has been immeasurable. Wearing the ‘C’ in his final season, he has led by example, embracing the culture and work ethic that defines Kodiaks hockey. His leadership, tenacity, and willingness to do the little things that help a team win have made him a cornerstone of the program.

“Owen has been the heartbeat of our team. His leadership, compete level, and passion for the game are second to none. He has left a lasting impact on our program, and we are incredibly proud to see him continue his hockey career at the next level,” said Kodiaks General Manager Eric Kroetch. “Augustana is getting a player who will not only contribute on the ice but will also bring leadership and a strong work ethic to their program.”

Lansing now joins a respected Augustana Vikings program that has a long history of success in the ACAC. By staying in Camrose, he will continue to play in front of family, friends, and the local community that has supported him throughout his hockey journey.

The entire Kodiaks organization congratulates Owen on this well-earned opportunity and looks forward to seeing his continued success with the Vikings!
