CAMROSE — The Camrose Kodiaks have signed American Lukas Zimovcak (F), the club announced Monday.
Zimovcak, 19, joins the Kodiaks with a reputation for his competitive two-way play, showcasing significant hustle on the ice. Hailing from Cedar Grove, New Jersey, Zimovcak brings a versatile skill set as a forward. Zimovcak impressed the teams staff during his two exhibition games with the Kodiaks in 2023. He then went back to The Hill School to finish his High School Diploma before signing with the Kodiaks before the 24/25 season.
In the 2023-24 season with The Hill School in USHS-Prep, Zimovcak recorded impressive stats with 11 goals and 18 assists for 29 points in 28 games.
When asked about why he chose Camrose, Zimovcak said “I picked Camrose because of the incredible coaching staff and the potential with all the talented players there”
Standing at 5’11” and weighing 175 lbs, Zimovcak’s left-handed shot and dedication to the game will enhance the Kodiaks’ lineup as they prepare for Main Camp beginning August 19th.
